Exhibit 2 - Moonshine Still
Indian Dancer The moonshine still in the Tinsley Museum is the actual still used in the creation of the cover photo for the July 1956 State magazine. The "still" was set up on Half-way Shelf of Bowen Mill Shoals on Toxaway Creek in Transylvania County. The exhibit provides a close-up view of the actual parts of a working still. A list of terms used by a still operator is also provided.
