Suddeth brings with her much experience from years of work with the Transylvania County Historical Society and the Transylvania County Joint Historic Preservation Commission. She also helped set up community history workshops which led to the publishing of two booklets, Up at the Folly and Rosman-the history of Eastatoe Ford, Jeptha, Toxaway, Eastatoe, and Rosman.

“Rebecca brings everything to the table,” said Morrow. “She has helped stage special events, worked on newsletters and other publicity, served as a treasurer for a non-profit and developed the historical society’s web-site where she continues as webmaster.” She is also a member of Transylvania County’s Abandoned Cemetery Committee.

Suddeth became part of the Heritage Coalition when it formed two years ago. At that time she thought she would like to become more deeply involved in a venture that would showcase and interpret Transylvania County’s diverse history. Her interest has extrapolated into further involvement and now as director.
